Hi, steve, well, at least you can see this blog, a few are saying they can't get it up on the screens, yes,it dropped off for a few hours, I,m told it was a server fault, it's made a lot of blogs lose their comments, I lost a few myself, but they will be back,,
The Eirstwhile RMC
I do wonder, If we Radio Amateurs need the RMC.???
I thought they represented our views to the rsgb and Ofcom, but, seeing as they cannot, or will not deal with the GB3EL problem short of just switching it off, I am of two minds, We do have a representative, a one G7UZN(squeekie mary) to his friends, but he can never be found, never answers his messages, never on the radio, or refuses to discuss things, But here is his chance to?? I am sure we all want to know when, or if, GB3EL is coming back, and wether it will really come back with narrow dev, ctcss, and a time out, which is something I remember dave dawson saying it was going to, , the last time it was taken off??
Over to you, G7UZN. the rmc rep?????

Re: The East London Repeater.
The only news found on the RMC UK amateur radio repeaters WEBSite!
STATUS information goes live (13 July 2009)
As part of a minor image change for this web site, a new REPEATER STATUS facility has been introduced following a decision taken at the last ETCC meeting.
In most cases the accuracy of the information will depend on the information provided.
ETCC Member for South East England, Dave G7UZN, has volunteered to maintain the status database and a new form
E-ZERO has been provided for both OUTAGE and STATUS updates.
The STATUS tab at the top of each page on this site goes to the operational status list, and other locations also will have this status code displayed, for example the band location maps shown in the Google Map facility.
All Keepers are reminded that it is mandatory to notify when a repeater is to be taken off air for periods exceeding 72 hours. This can be done by use of the E-ZERO form on this site.

We can see clearly from the site that GB3EL is no longer functional. But what about good old LW. I have not been able to get GB3LW for days and the repeater site says that its operational. Can anyone tell me why this repeater is gone and for how long it has been so. I would be very pleased to know. As so meany are aware its just around the corner from me.
